The Reading pen TS Portable Reading Tutor is the newest portable assistive technology for reading comprehension with a touch screen menu and Spanish translation. The Reading Pens are the preferred assistive technology for learning English by educators and administrators in K-12 and college, English language learners, English as Second Language, students with Dyslexia and special education communities. According to Higgins and Raskind 2005, "on average, children scored 7 points higher, more than a grade point higher, when using the pen". The Reading Pen scans and reads aloud lines of text, defines, and provides syllabication. Provides easy one touch Spanish translation. Contains word games to improve vocabulary. Build word lists and send to PC. Send homework, tests, documents and instructions to Reading Pen TS from PC via USB connection for read back and definitions.
